Posted by Kate Harden-England on Jul 30th, 2026 at 14:24 Outgoing CEO, Nicolas Huss, retires HBX Group International, which is listed on the Spanish stock exchange, is entering a transition period of leadership, and has appointed Brendan Brennan as interim chief executive officer. The Board of Directors, meeting on 28 July, 2026, approved the retirement of Nicolas Huss and the appointment of Brennan as interim CEO, effective 1 October 2026. In this role, Brennan will oversee operational and strategic continuity of the group which operates brands including Hotelbeds, Bedsonline, The Luxurist, Roiback, Civitfun and PerfectStay, during the transition.

The Board has now launched a comprehensive search process, led by Egon Zehnder, to identify a permanent chief executive, with an announcement expected at the next Annual General Meeting in February of next year. Brennan has served as Chief Financial Officer of HBX Group, a role from which he has played a central part in shaping and executing the company’s strategy as a public company, including during its successful 2025 IPO. James Bilefield, chair of the Board, said: "On behalf of the Board and the Company, I would like to thank Nicolas for his leadership and for his contribution to building HBX Group into a leading B2B travel technology business.

"From the depths of the pandemic, Huss led the group through a period of impressive revenue and profit growth," he said - one of which earnt him the coveted lifetime achievement award at Travolution's awards in 2024 . "His vision for the company led to a broader ecosystem of products and services that simplify the complex and fragmented world of travel for our clients and partners around the world. We are grateful for his contribution and appreciate his continued support over the coming months to facilitate an orderly transition." Huss expressed confidence in the Group’s outlook.
