TNM (With ANI Inputs) | Published On: Jul 2, 2026 ANI Photo | Gujarat CM appoints over 2,300 revenue talatis and introduces digital reforms Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel distributed appointment letters to more than 2,300 newly recruited Revenue Talati personnel at a ceremony in Gandhinagar on July 2. Alongside this, he launched several digital and administrative reforms aimed at enhancing revenue services throughout the state. Inaugurating new revenue offices, the Chief Minister introduced innovative initiatives to expedite 21 revenue services and make them more citizen-friendly.
Speaking to the new appointees, Patel described Revenue Talatis as the “backbone of revenue administration” and the foundation of village governance. He stated, “Revenue Talatis should work with dedication and ensure that citizens facing genuine difficulties receive timely and hassle-free assistance. ” He urged recruits to resolve village-level grievances efficiently and maintain procedural discipline to avoid future administrative issues. Highlighting citizen-centric governance, Patel urged Talatis to consider citizens’ perspectives when delivering services and to ensure speed and transparency in their work.
He encouraged them to work in a way that brings pride to their families and contributes to building a “Viksit Gujarat,” in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Key reforms launched included REVA (Revenue Voice and Assistance), a QR-code-based feedback system implemented across Collector, Prant, Sub-Registrar, DILR, and Mamlatdar offices. This platform enables citizens to scan QR codes to submit feedback on services and staff behaviour, allowing real-time monitoring and improvement. The government also introduced an e-filing facility under the Integrated Revenue Court Case Management System (IRCMS), which permits citizens to file revenue cases online from their homes and track proceedings in real time.
Officials stated the system will enhance transparency, reduce delays, and standardise processes across revenue offices. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Survey of India for georeferencing city survey maps to improve accuracy in land records and urban planning. Minister of State for Revenue Sanjaysinh Mahida described the transparent recruitment process as marking a new beginning for the selected candidates.
