LIC International has announced the appointment of Veena Khan as its new chief executive officer and executive director. Ms Khan, a distinguished life insurance strategist, brings more than 30 years of experience from the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in driving multi-billion-dollar revenue growth, architecting corporate strategy, and leading large-scale operations across tied agency, ‘bancassurance’, and direct marketing distribution channels. She possesses a deep technical background in underwriting, policy servicing, claims management, audit, and corporate communications.

Ms Khan holds a Post Graduate Executive Programme credential from IIM Ahmedabad, alongside certifications in tracking organisational performance and quantitative data analytics and completed a Management Development Programme at ISB Hyderabad. She is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII) and specialises in organisational performance frameworks, including the Norton-Kaplan Balanced Scorecard methodology. In addition to her corporate background, Ms Khan has served as a regular guest faculty member at top life insurance training centres across India.
