AECOM names internal leader Manav Kumar as Chief Legal Officer, with outgoing CLO David Gan shifting to a senior advisory role before retiring in 2027. DALLAS --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AECOM (NYSE: ACM ), the trusted global infrastructure leader, today announced the appointment of Manav Kumar as Chief Legal Officer. He succeeds David Gan, who will transition to serving as Senior Advisor and plans to retire in 2027. As Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Kumar will lead legal and public affairs globally and continue serving as Corporate Secretary. “Throughout his more than 20 years at AECOM, David has made important contributions to our company, helping strengthen our legal, governance and compliance capabilities while supporting many of our most significant business initiatives,” said Troy Rudd, AECOM’s chairman and chief executive officer.
” Mr. Kumar currently serves as AECOM’s Corporate General Counsel and Global Head of Public Affairs, and he has held several positions at the Company spanning legal, public affairs and enterprise leadership. Since joining AECOM in 2017, he has been a trusted advisor on many of its most important business, governance and strategic matters, including its evolution into a leading professional services firm. Previously, Mr. Kumar held legal and policy positions across private practice and government, including serving as Deputy Counsel to the Mayor of Los Angeles and Chief Olympics Officer for the City of Los Angeles during its successful pursuit of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mr. Gan's upcoming retirement follows a distinguished legal career and more than 20 years of leadership at AECOM. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the Company’s legal, governance and risk framework and built a highly regarded global legal organization that supports AECOM's operations around the world. Mr. Kumar's appointment and Mr. Gan's transition to Senior Advisor are effective October 3, 2026, and they will work closely together to ensure a seamless transition.
