WALLER COUNTY, Texas , Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TMEIC Corporation Americas ( TMEIC ), a group company of TMEIC Corporation (Japan), announces the opening of its new Twinwood manufacturing facility in Waller County, Texas. The 280,000-square-foot location is the company's third American manufacturing facility and the largest and most advanced of its 13 facilities around the globe. This new facility will create over 200 new jobs in the greater Houston area, and as operations scale, employment will expand to 500 positions. "This is not only the opening of a new flagship power electronics factory, but also an important milestone in TMEIC's long history," says Kensuke Miyano, Vice President, Power Electronics Systems Division, TMEIC Corporation.

The facility has the capacity to manufacture or assemble industrial-scale uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units for the rapidly expanding data center market, as well as high-power, medium-voltage drives and a broad range of advanced power electronics products. The company's two other American manufacturing facilities, TMEIC Westport and TMEIC Katy, are also in the metropolitan area, as is its North American headquarters, located in the Houston Energy Corridor.
