Questions
How do I act on funding signals?
Search news receives_financing and Form D newFilingCompany for the last few weeks, then filter to your ICP with company_domains or industries. A new raise often means new budget and new hires. Send the account to its owner with the source link.
What is the best way to monitor for leadership changes or funding rounds?
Run one companies/search on a schedule with signal_types ["news", "sec-form-d-funding"] and subtypes for both events: receives_financing and newFilingCompany for funding, hires and promotes for leadership. Subtypes use OR logic, so one call covers all of them.
Why use Form D next to news?
A Form D is filed with the SEC for a private raise, and the filing data has the amount sold, the number of investors and the related persons. The Form D type updates daily. News covers rounds that a press release announces.
How do I get acquisitions only?
Use signal_types ["news", "sec-8k"] with signal_subtypes ["acquires", "merges_with", "acquisitionAnnounced", "acquisitionCompleted"].
