Questions about the lookup
What does the domain to company lookup return?
The company name, employee band, industry and LinkedIn page for the root domain you enter, plus up to 3 recent events when we have them. It shows only the fields we have, so some results have fewer rows.
Does it show headquarters, founded year or a description?
No. Autobound company records have no headquarters address and no founded year, so the tool does not show them.
Can I look up a subdomain or a full URL?
Paste any URL or email address and the tool keeps only the domain. It strips https://, www. and the path. Other subdomains, such as jobs.example.com, are looked up as typed and usually have no record.
Is there a limit?
Yes. Each visitor gets 10 free lookups a day, one domain per lookup. For more, a free account gets 1,000 credits for the Signal API.
How do I look up many domains?
Use the Signal API. POST /v1/companies/enrich takes one domain and returns that company's signals, plus company fields when we have them. It costs 2 credits per signal returned, a call with no results is free, and a new account gets 1,000 free credits.
Is the enrich endpoint a firmographics API?
No. It returns the company's signals, such as news, hiring and SEC filings. Company fields come along when we have them, but they are often missing, so do not rely on it for firmographics alone.
