The operation will be executed by Airbus Atlantic, the aerostructures subsidiary of the Airbus group, and involves the exclusive takeover of Mecanizaciones Aeronáuticas S.A., known as MASA, as well as several companies in its industrial network in Spain: Himec Aero, NMT Aerospace Machining, Gepro Systems, and Orisol Montajes Avanzados. Airbus Atlantic's interest is also supported by a prolonged industrial relationship with MASA Group. Both companies announced on June 30 the start of conversations to study the integration, presented then as a project to expand capabilities and enhance the competitiveness of the involved companies.
