It comes off the back of new research that found nearly half of Brits say they regularly forget their shopping bags for the weekly shop and have revealed the bonkers lengths they'll go to if they don't have one to hand, from stuffing items in pockets to carrying shopping home in a bucket and wheelbarrow. The survey also revealed a whopping 85% of Brits have a "bag of bags" at home, whilst almost half of those polled (47%) admit to buying another reusable bag at least once a month after forgetting theirs, rising to 69% among Gen Z. Those in Yorkshire and Northern Ireland top the list of those most likely to buy a new bag after leaving theirs at home. Londoners are also the most likely group to go back home specifically after forgetting a bag.
