AT&TCustomer feedback

AT&T's mobile hotspot service is reported to be incompatible with FortiClient IPsec VPN, with commenters suggesting the provider is known for blocking IKE tunnels on some services.

Post

Hi all, looking for some ideas on this one. FortiClient VPN connects fine from my home network and other home networks, but it fails to connect when I'm on my AT&T mobile hotspot. On the same hotspot and the same laptop, Cisco AnyConnect connects and works without any issues, so it doesn't seem like AT&T is blocking VPN traffic in general. Setup: FortiClient 7.4.3, IPsec IKEv2 with EAP Windows laptop

    From the post

  • [comment u/Noname_Nets] AT&T (and a few other providers) have been known to block IKE tunnels on some of their services. It'd be worth a call to ask them. If they are blocking IKE you can ask them to remove the block.

  • [comment u/clayko] We had similar issues with ATT and t mobile as service provider .
