This supplementary order includes five wide-body 787-10 aircraft and six single-aisle 737-8 aircraft. "This purchase is part of a broader and meticulously designed plan to strengthen the country's international connectivity in the coming years, responding to the needs of the population, the expatriate community, businesses, and tourism," said the executive. Currently, Biman operates previous-generation 787, 777, and 737 aircraft in its international network, connecting Bangladesh with major hubs in the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, and Europe. The incorporation of the new 737-8s will provide greater range to its short and medium-haul network, while the 787-10s will expand passenger capacity to complement its current 787-8 and 787-9 units.
