On August 19, 2026, the Californian company Castelion announced a Series C fundraising round exceeding one billion dollars (approximately 850 million euros), valuing it at 13 billion dollars (approximately 11 billion euros). This valuation marks the meeting between Silicon Valley's startup culture and the very closed world of American strategic weaponry and could allow the world's leading power to catch up in hypersonic weapons.
