CLEVELAND - As companies around the country continue to seek ways to implement artificial intelligence (AI) into their workflows, the Cleveland Clinic announced a new partnership with Luminai , an AI-native enterprise automation platform for health system operations. Through the partnership, the two will co-develop and deploy AI automation across administrative workflows in order to reduce manual administrative work, improve operational reliability, and allow staff to enhance patient care and experience. "Our collaboration with Luminai allows us to apply AI in ways that meaningfully support our teams by reducing administrative burden and improving patient satisfaction." The first focus of the AI will be to process external referrals. With many referrals still arriving via fax, sorting, prioritizing, and transcribing is typically done manually. Luminai's AI system will identify the referrals from incoming documents and, by understanding the clinical context, will match the patient/order type and transcribe them into the EMR for follow-up.
