Any internal teams using CIPP?

I’m internal IT for a Big4 firm, and we are getting an increasing number of tenants to manage. Dev, Prod, this, that, the other, the gcc-high one, etc. managing them all individually is a pain in the ass, from policy to applications. Has anyone successfully used CIPP to manage multiple domains that are all internal to your company? I’m curious to know how well it worked, and if it didn’t work well, what you did instead.

For companies that size the only difference is that they use direct tenant add as they are not a CSP, but still struggle with the same multitenancy questions everyone does :)”

  • “Yep, moved from MSP-land to solo sysadmin and insisted on paying for it. It's good shit.”

  • “CIPP works pretty seamlessly for us across 30 or so tenants and flipping back and forth works quite well”

  • “We're managing roughly 120 M365 tenants through CIPP today. Honestly, I wouldn't want to go back to the old way of jumping between 120 individual admin portals. CIPP has become our main management platform for day-to-day operations, standards enforcement, reporting and tenant administration. It's not a 100% replacement for the Microsoft portals, but it significantly reduces the administrative”

  • “Yes for a single tenant but even that feels kind of kneecapped when you don’t have the GDAP roles.”
