I called 311 and Entergy last week about a utility line that’s come loose from a pole and is running through a playground in Birchwood Park in WLR. Everyone says it’s someone else’s problem: the city says it’s Entergy, Entergy says it’s Comcast’s, Comcast’s said call the city. Should we just continue ignoring it?

  • “The lowest section on a utility pole belongs to telecommunications lines. So, the fallen wire is NOT the responsibility of Entergy or the City of Little Rock. It's most likely going to belong to Comcast or AT&T.”

  • “Keep bothering them. I had this happen in my yard this year and it is one of the most frustrating things I've dealt with to date. Its most likely comcast's/XFinity's but check with ATT and Cox too. Comcast has a secret number: 215-286-1700. This was the only way I ever got anywhere with them.”

  • “As others have said - that's a data cable. Cut it and someone will show up real quick :)”

  • “Based on the position on the pole where it is attached, I would say that is likely cable internet/tv and it would be the responsibility of the carrier (Comcast, Sparklight, etc.) to get their line reattached. Those carriers rent space on the poles from Entergy, but it is not Entergy or the city's responsibility to attach their equipment.”

  • “This appears to be a cable, fiber or telephone line. Not power so at least it’s not life threatening….”
