For the first time ever, Pratt & Whitney has licensed another American company to manufacture its F100 fighter jet engines. That company is Hermeus. Domestic propulsion has been running up against a severe supply crunch. For us, engine availability was directly threatening to bottleneck Quarterhorse scaling and production. By bringing production in-house, Hermeus becomes the first vertically integrated airframer capable of building its own propulsion. It secures our flight-test and production timelines for Quarterhorse, while adding critical, high-rate manufacturing capacity back into the broader American defense industrial base. Huge thank you to the Pratt & Whitney team for trusting us with this legacy and partnering with us to expand domestic aerospace manufacturing.
