It's a Blue day in Boston. JetBlue unveiled its brand-new BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) on Monday, a major step as the airline works to rebuild itself as a carrier with higher-tier luxury options for travelers with money (or points) to spend. The Boston branch is JetBlue's second BlueHouse location, following the debut of the airline's first-ever lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) late in 2025. JetBlue brands itself as New York's "hometown airline," but despite its Queens headquarters, the carrier is just as at home in Boston, where it fiercely competes with Delta Air Lines for dominance at BOS. The airline controls Terminal C in Boston, where it lends the occasional check-in counter and gate to Cape Air, Etihad Airways and Aer Lingus. And Boston is a lucrative market, with strong premium yields and plenty of passengers willing to spend on comfort, whether flying for business or for fun. That passenger subset - and the "premium revenue" they produce - is increasingly important to airlines, which have found better financial results from catering more heavily to the higher spenders and their most frequent of frequent flyers.
