Joby Aviation just completed the first-ever point-to-point eVTOL air taxi demonstration flights in New York City. In late April 2026, Joby flew its electric aircraft between JFK Airport and Manhattan heliports as part of an FAA eVTOL Integration Pilot Program campaign. The goal was to show how air taxis could fit into one of the busiest cities in the world. Joby’s plan is to connect Lower Manhattan and Midtown to JFK in under 10 minutes.
