NEW YORK and AMSTERDAM, September 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bird.com, a company specializing in AI-powered communication infrastructure, has finalized $450 million in debt financing, led by J.P. Morgan, and unveiled a revamped version of its Agentic Harness platform, which now allows AI agents to send messages, make calls, manage their emails, and even subscribe to their own eSIM phone plan on Bird's network, without requiring custom integration. This platform is part of a broader reorientation by Bird aimed at meeting the needs of a growing agent economy, as the company accelerates its expansion in the United States. This follows a two-year period during which the company continued its growth, generated $165 million in EBITDA in 2025, and largely automated its operations. Bird's workforce has decreased from over 1,000 people at its peak to 120 today, a development due to large-scale automation across the company rather than a market withdrawal. This automation initiative has increased productivity and lowered prices for customers, with some channels costing 90% less than competitors.
