Marvell Technology granted Google the right to buy up to 58.97 million of its shares, a stake valued at about US$ 12.2 billion if fully exercised. Most of that right is tied to Google's spending on custom chips through fiscal year 2033. According to the filing, the warrant has an exercise price of US$ 206.58 per share and runs through August 18, 2033. The document also states that it was issued on August 18, although the commercial agreement supporting it was signed on July 29. The vested portion is small: about 1.36 million shares will be acquired in equal quarterly installments over the first year of the agreement.
