Meijer brand chocolate milk has been $1.99 for a while. Because of the good quality and price I drive to Meijer instead of going to the bigger grocery store that is closer to my house. Today I go to get my weekly fix of chocolate milk and the price has been raised to $2.99 (for the same half gallon). There is another big store that so many of us pay a membership for and they have a philosophy that if you keep a hotdog in a drink at $1.50 people will keep coming back. If you keep rotisserie chickens at $4.99 that is another hook to keep people coming back. $1.99 chocolate milk was your $1.50 hotdog 🌭 combo Meijer. This is a 50% price increase. Bad business decision.

  • “Meijer is not a big grocery store? Costco and their help in the removal of Robinson-Patman Act is the reason why we go there, because it's by far cheaper than everywhere else. $1.99 sugar milk is probably not "quality" no matter how much you like it. If that's their "loss leader" it would just be a weird...”
