Two years after Nirav Tolia returned as Nextdoor's CEO, the company is planting its flag in the city he calls home. San Francisco-based Nextdoor Holdings Inc., a social media company that helps connect residents and local businesses in neighborhoods, announced April 21 that it is looking for office space in Uptown Dallas with plans to add dozens more employees here by summer 2026. Nextdoor, co-founded in 2008 by Tolia, already has 15 employees currently operating out of temporary space at The Stack in Deep Ellum, located at 2700 Commerce St. The company is in the process of securing a permanent location in Uptown for a "multi-functional hub, with a particular emphasis on engineering talent as it scales," according to the announcement. Tolia told D Magazine he anticipates Nextdoor's Dallas workforce growing to around 50 people by the end of the summer, with roughly 75% of those team members relocating from the company's New York and San Francisco...
