The Nintendo Switch would actually be the most successful console of all time, had Sony not conjured up a few more sold PS2s in 2024. Had Nintendo suffered another resounding flop after the Wii U and thus the Switch not become such a great success, the console market in Japan, in his view, might have been "completely eliminated". As an alternative, even more Japanese players would probably have turned to smartphones and possibly also PCs.
