Probably not. There are already hundreds of tools that promise to “10x your outreach” while giving you 47 features you’ll never use and a pricing page that looks like a mortgage application. So… I’m building another one. 😅 I’ve been working on a cold outreach/sequencing platform, but I’m taking a slightly different approach:Stop selling people the entire platform. I want the core to be modular. Email sequencing? Plug it in. Calling? Plug it in. SMS/WhatsApp? Plug it in. CRM integrations? Plug them in. Whatever you actually need → enable it. Whatever you don’t → don’t pay for it. The idea is basically:A sales automation platform that behaves more like LEGO than a Swiss Army knife. I’m still early in development, so I’m genuinely curious:Is “pay only for the features you actually use” something sales teams would care about, or is pricing not really the problem with outbound tools? And if you use tools like Apollo, Instantly, Smartlead, Outreach, Salesloft, etc. - what’s the one thing that makes you think:“Why the hell is this so complicated?”

  • “Pricing is the smaller complaint, I think. Every sequencer starts after the hard part, which is deciding who is actually in the market this week, so the bill can be perfect and the reply rate still sits where it was. While tuning a scorer for posts where someone is asking to buy something, the gap between a person who fits a list and a person with a reason to answer now was much bigger than anythi”

  • “Modular pricing sounds useful for a team testing one channel. The harder test is what happens when modules meet: if a prospect replies to email, does calling stop? If a rep marks them out of scope in the CRM, does SMS inherit that decision? A cheaper add-on can become expensive when reps reconcile separate histories. Show a few sales teams one workflow that spans two modules and ask which except”

  • “Already exists. Literally supplemental outreach that gets cheap qualified meetings.”

  • “The pricing probably isn't the moat. If modular is your only story, a sales team won't switch for a cleaner bill. The one thing that makes every outbound tool feel heavy is the part that comes before sending - deciding who actually has a reason to answer this week. Solve that specific workflow and the modules matter way less.”
