MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - K-State Athletics announced Tuesday that it is one of the baker's dozen of schools that will feature Progressive Insurance logos on their football fields this fall. The insurance giant expanded its investment in college football with an agreement with K-State and 12 other schools to place their logos on schools' football fields. K-State is joined by Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest. "We are pleased that K-State has been included in this national partnership opportunity which speaks volumes about our football program and brand," said K-State athletic director Gene Taylor. "Progressive is a household name and brand itself, and entering the college football space will provide them new exposure opportunities." The agreement comes as expanded advertisement rules also allow program's to sell advertising patches on schools' uniforms. Taylor has said previously K-State has a jersey patch partner, but has yet to announce who that will be. The Progressive logo on the field at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will also be joined by a Monster logo, after the energy drink company agreed to a league-wide deal with the Big 12 this offseason.
