Since 2013, Ralph Lauren has proudly partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and the New York City Economic Development Corporation as a premier underwriter of the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative to support apparel manufacturers throughout NYC. Today, we are expanding these efforts with two new initiatives alongside the CFDA designed to continue strengthening American fashion manufacturing in New York City and key apparel-producing regions across the country. Developed with the New York Department of State, the CFDA x NY Forward Grant Fund will provide grants to fashion manufacturers and designers in New York City’s Garment District – the historic heart of American fashion production – that will empower businesses to invest in innovation, scale production and preserve local jobs. Ralph Lauren also serves as the Founding Partner of the U.S. Fashion Manufacturing Fund, which will extend grant funding to key regions across the country, providing partially matching grants to manufacturers investing in advanced machinery, software and workforce training. Applications for the CFDA x NY Forward Grant Fund will open in late January. The U.S. Manufacturing Fund is scheduled to run from 2027–2029.
