International flights to Europe and Asia require more desks for a smaller number of flights than domestic flying which have a lot more flights on them . Domestic cut backs are spread over a larger number of desks and might result in minimal to no desks closed. International flight”

But has there been a drop in demand? Why aren’t they just adding a fuel surcharge to their fares like they have in past fuel price increases? I suspect the flights being cut were already below the desired load”
