I'm looking for a cheap 5G backup for my line. I'm using a Fortigate 80F. I know that some people suggest the FortiExtender but it is too expensive for us. Any cheap alternative? Maybe the Unifi 5G?

  • “Typically use FortiExtender. They’re like $1000 for 5 years cloud support plus hardware, and offer valuable features such as out of band management of the devices onsite as well.”

  • “The FEX is expensive but intergrated in the Fortigate GUI (and see as Wan Interface) Technically you can use any router 4G/5G with ethernet Connectivity can work”
