Published June 11, 2026 Vulcan Materials Co., a Birmingham, Alabama-based producer of construction aggregates, has completed the divestiture of its ready-mixed concrete operations in California and acquired the southern Colorado and Dallas-Fort Worth operations of Brannan Sand & Gravel. Vulcan says the acquisition includes a rail-connected aggregate quarry with long-term reserves in Lamar, Colorado, and a new distribution yard in Dallas-Fort Worth. Denver-based Brannan Sand & Gravel provides aggregates, asphalt paving and maintenance services, ready mix concrete and specialized construction services.
