The new location at Soundwill Plaza II Midtown, owned by Soundwill Holdings, was previously occupied by another co-working operator. WeWork secured the site after competing with several rivals. "In the current uncertain market outlook, landlords are looking for reliable, long-term and stable partners," said Wang Cheung, city leader for WeWork Hong Kong and Taipei. The firm now operates four floors in the building, totalling 31,800 sq ft. "We believe occupancy at this location will reach around 80 per cent by the end of the year," Cheung said. The opening reflects WeWork's gradual rebuild in the city. The company re-entered Hong Kong in 2022 after closing several locations in 2020, and has since expanded across Hong Kong Island while eyeing new sites in Kowloon.
