The Transaction of the Year Awards recognize the most successful turnarounds and impactful transactions across the industry and are selected through a rigorous peer-review process. WeWork's restructuring, which eliminated more than $4 billion in debt, was confirmed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey in May 2024, and the company successfully emerged from chapter 11 the following month.
