ZscalerRecurring product issues

Users experience minor, recurring login and performance glitches with Zscaler

What happened

Multiple users, including a Network Engineer, report minor but recurring issues with Zscaler Zero Trust Cloud, such as occasional manual re-logins, minor pauses when updating the app, and conflicts with local network adapters and developer tools. These issues, while not critical, cause brief disruptions and require ongoing administrative fine-tuning.

“The time it takes to log you in after a while should be reduced a bit. Also, the Zscaler application should come forward when the laptop is restarted. Additionally, integration with Wi-Fi would be beneficial since many organizations use Ethernet for secure internet connections, while Wi-Fi is often used for remote work.”

“While Zscaler typically authenticates automatically after logging in to Windows, there are occasional times when users have to manually log back into the application, which can cause brief disruptions during the workday. This doesn’t happen often, but it has been a minor complaint within our organization.”

“To be honest it works seamlessly but at times when we click on Update app it pauses for a few milliseconds. I am not sure if it's designed to work that way, but it's not a problem.”

“Additionally, strict SSL inspection sometimes triggers false-positive blocks on legitimate traffic, and the modular licensing can get quite expensive as you scale features. The endpoint agent (Zscaler Client Connector) can also occasionally cause latency spikes or conflict with developer tools and local environments.”
