The consulting firm is expanding an existing Google Cloud practice with agentic AI adoption in mind. Accenture isn't new to the game. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Microsoft to launch an AI-focused FDE practice. Accenture also forged an alliance with OpenAI to embed FDEs in its government-focused business unit and sent engineers to Anthropic for training as part of a Claude deployment initiative launched in December. FDEs are only one pillar of Accenture's Google Cloud talent strategy, according to Sehgal. "We've got FDEs, people with industry skills, functional skills and change management expertise," Sehgal said. Accenture's Gemini deployment teams will be credentialed by Google Cloud as part of an FDE certification protocol, according to Accenture Google Business Group Global Lead Scott Alfieri.
