I have started using LTspice recently for my EMI lab project and its the worst software that I have ever used. Seriously the interface is so dull. I haven't explored it much but I suppose it is good for analysing the circuits with real time outputs before desiging on hardware. But how tf am i supposed to reach till that point when i can't even move my resistor peacefully 😭. Literally had to watch a video on how to "activate" the rotate tool. Why are there keyboard shortcuts for even the most basic things why can't they just give all these options simply a right click in drop down menu.

  • “"the worst software so far". Wait until you deal with industry standard software where the software developers never heard of anything like UI/UX. You're in for a ride.”

  • “Its because an EE Major designed it, not a CompSci/Software Engineer. It works but….. Lol”

  • “All of the shortcuts are configurable. The schematic and plot colors are also configurable. I expect you may not find a lot of folks agreeing with you as LTspice is a free spice tool that simulates circuits extremely well.”

  • “If you're an EE, the LTSpice user interface is BY FAR the most intuitive and efficient of all the serious professional level spice programs, once you take the time to learn it. It is initially counterintuitive because it was written by and for EEs, a primary major strength. Learn the hotkeys, there are only about a dozen or so that are used regularly. The UI, hotkeys etc are largely organise”
