In southern Rwanda, crossing the Giswi River hasn’t always been safe or simple. Now, a new bridge is reconnecting nearly 5,000 Rwandans to greater opportunity. 🌟 Together with Bridges to Prosperity and the Munini and Muganza communities, a team of 15 colleagues helped bring the Mutovu Trail Bridge to life - our eighth bridge in Rwanda since beginning our partnership in 2016. Representing 11 projects and 10 nationalities, the team spent two weeks working closely with local residents, building relationships and learning from one another along the way. 🌍🤝 The 120-meter Mutovu Trail Bridge now provides safe, year-round access for residents who previously faced dangerous river crossings during the rainy season. What was once a barrier to school, healthcare, and markets is now a dependable connection that supports daily life. Beyond the construction itself, the team formed meaningful bonds with the community - sharing daily routines, learning from local partners, and experiencing the warmth and spirit of Mutovu firsthand. 🗣️ Sam Belknap, a project engineer on our Gatwick Airport project in London, shared: “From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this bridge meant a huge amount to the community… dancing every morning with our colleagues broke down all barriers and set a positive tone that we all will take home in our hearts.” We’re proud of our colleagues and...
