It follows Conduent's sale of its public transit arm to Modaxo for $164m in May - and Modaxo also bought Conduent's kerbside management and parking businesses for $230 million in 2024. The tolling business operates in the US and UK and covers all-electronic tolling, roadside and back-office payment processing, image review, automated licence plate recognition, violation enforcement and analytics. Conduent says it supports more than 14 million transactions per day. "This tolling transaction, alongside the previously announced public transit agreement, advances our strategy to simplify our portfolio, sharpen focus on our core businesses, and strengthen our financial foundation," said Harsha V. Agadi, Conduent president and CEO. "ITS International is continuing its strategic journey to enhance long-term value creation, including simplifying its business, strengthening the balance sheet, and increasing sustainable free cash flow.
