... to go to lilly. I was at one of the top medical practices in the country, in it's specialty. But, it paled in comparison to lill, so I went. It was wonderful, until it wasn't. It changed alot during my 4 years there. I was sold so many opportunities, particularly, and at best linear movement in the event of shifts. During the shift, all the support and optimism went out the window. I've been out of work for several months now - I couldn't even try, I needed a break to process this. I'm 40 plus and planned to retire from there. Now here I am, nearing 50, looking for work. I think it's so unfair that they are stealthily doing these lay offs like this. If you are laid off too, I'm sorry. Hang in there. That's all...

  • [comment u/WorkingIndyMom] Also, thank you for confirming that there were layoffs at Eli Lilly. There were so many departure posts on LinkedIn from long-term Eli Lilly employees last month.

  • [comment u/Desperate_Arugula886] Lilly is 100% doing stealth layoffs. Last year they implemented BS performance metrics, and almost every org is slowly going through re-org where positions are cut, everyone has to re-apply for their jobs

There were so many departure posts on LinkedIn from long-term Eli Lilly employees last month. It was peculiar to see so many departure posts. I was laid off too, and I am trying my best to stay away from companies that are laying off employees. I will pause on applying at Lilly.”

There had been so much opportunities for growth, so many resources available it was really a wonderful place to work. • “What area do you work in? Clinical Operations has gone through some real crunch time. As has Medical Affairs. Have you considered independent consulting? Even with just 4 years at Lilly, plus your previous experience at a top medical group, you should have enough subject matter expertise to be your own boss and offer independent consulting input to biotechs.
