[General Dynamics Failed to Build Artillery Shells for the Army - ProPublica](https://www.propublica.org/article/general-dynamics-artillery-factory-failed) A machine at the factory sometimes mangled artillery shells, meant to be perfectly smooth, into swirls that looked like soft serve. Obtained by ProPublica

  • [comment u/Whiteyak5] It's a plant that currently "makes" nothing. As in they're still working out all the kinks to get it up and running properly. Nobody should be surprised it's behind schedule.

  • “Such a misleading title that keeps getting shared. It's a plant that currently "makes" nothing. As in they're still working out all the kinks to get it up and running properly. Nobody should be surprised it's behind schedule. To title it "plant that made nothing" implies it was closed down and will never make anything again or in the future.”

(Then you get to shoot rainbows) Also market them at discount rates. "Hey they can hit targets... Not what you're aiming at but they confuse the enemy that way. "”
