GRAND ISLAND, Neb.(KSNB) - Pump and Pantry is expanding beyond Nebraska, acquiring 21 standalone convenience stores from Hy-Vee, most of them located in Iowa and Minnesota. The Bosselman family, which operates Pump and Pantry, held a celebration in Grand Island to mark the announcement. Brandi Bosselman, president of the company, said the acquisition is part of a broader long-term strategy. "Our plan is to expand over the next several years and we hope to have 200 stores by 2030," Bosselman said. She said customers can expect fountain drinks, hot dogs and Cinnabon products at the stores. "When you go in and smell them, you can't help but buy a Cinnabon," Bosselman said. Katie Lofing, a member of the Bosselman family, said she grew up watching the company develop. "It was fun to see it all grow and see all these people that work for the company," Lofing said. She said the expansion also brings an opportunity to connect with new employees and communities. "It's just so great to meet all these people and find that common ground," Lofing said.
