What do Ikea and Aldi have in common? Both names consist of four letters and the prices are comparatively cheap. However, not much more connects the two companies – until now. Because from now on, the Swedish furniture group and the German discount chain have a cooperation running that is advantageous for numerous customers in the Munich area. In the future, customers who order their goods online from Ikea via the so-called Click-and-Collect pickup service will no longer have to pick them up at an Ikea furniture store. From now on, such pickup stations can be found in the Munich area in the parking lots of 16 Aldi Süd branches, where Ikea customers can collect their orders. Customers no longer have to drive to Eching or Brunnthal to pick up their online orders at the Ikea furniture store there, thus saving travel and time. "With the new pickup stations, we are creating additional opportunities to combine routes and easily pick up products ordered online nearby.
