Dell Distributors - any better than Ingram?

We're getting absolutely fking killed here. The Dell retail site is consistently the same price or LESS than our cost on laptops from Ingram. Do any distributors have better pricing than this? Tired of explaining to my customers that we'd have to lose money to match Dell as a Dell reseller. It's BS. So over this damned industry.

  • [comment u/mcfool123] We just gave up and gave the customer a Lenovo and have been playing tag with Dell since.

Forward and tag this email into your PSA so you can still get these emails on the right board and attached to that client. - This is your “client contact” for every distributor and vendor - Now watch how many of these companies are reaching directly to your customers I can name a”

  • “From what I have seen Dell Direct regularly runs loss-leader sales on retail specs that are literally lower than wholesale disti cost. It may be infuriating, but trying to match their site price is a losing battle.”

  • “We tried TD Synnex and it was slightly higher on workstations, substantially higher on servers. I inquired (after spending days trying to get ahold of someone) and we were told it was our fault because we "requested wrong", despite we sent the exact same email to both teams with the same line by line requests. Even more concerning, the minute we removed the deal from TDS, a Dell direct rep reached”
