Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has unveiled a first look at Great Tides Waterpark, its new attraction at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, ahead of its grand opening on Sept. 4, 2026. Spanning nearly six acres, the new waterpark is the largest the cruise line has developed and forms part of ongoing enhancements to its 270-acre private island destination. Other highlights include Splash Cay, a family splash zone, and Tidal Tower, featuring the Breakwater Blasters, which NCL says are the Caribbean's first duelling Master Blaster water coasters that propel riders uphill using high-pressure water jets. The opening also coincides with the completion of Great Stirrup Cay's new two-berth pier, allowing ships to dock directly at the island and giving guests more time ashore.
