June 13, 2026 5:50 AM Gift Article Atlanta-based home builder PulteGroup announced it has purchased nearly 500 acres of land to build 1,000 homes in a new development called EverCreek at Lakewood Ranch. Located near Bourneside Boulevard and between University Parkway and Fruitville Road in Sarasota County, the neighborhood will feature 850 single-family homes and 150 townhomes. Home designs and pricing have not been announced, however, Pulte said in a news release that homes will be between 1,580 to 3,820 square feet and have two to five bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms and one- to three-car garages. "We thoughtfully planned EverCreek to be a sanctuary that honors the natural beauty of Lakewood Ranch," Josh Graeve, president of PulteGroup's Southwest Florida Division, said in a news release. Graeve said in the news release that homebuyers will have the option to custom build a new home or purchase a move-in-ready home.
