Analyst reports RHEL AI indemnification only applies to IBM Granite models
What happened
An Analyst at a small business notes that the legal indemnification and enterprise support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI are limited to IBM Granite models. When running other open-source models like Llama 3 or Mistral, users lose these crucial protections, creating a gap in support for popular alternative models.

“From what I’ve observed, one of the biggest selling points of RHELAI is the legal indemnification it offers. However, this protection only applies to the IBM Granite models. If I choose to run other open-source models, like Llama 3 or Mistral, on the platform, I lose that legal safety net, along with the specific enterprise support tied to the model itself.”
