Atos has obtained SAP Sovereign Cloud Partner certification to modernize and operate critical SAP environments under data control, governance, and regulatory compliance requirements. The validation expands the alternatives available to administrations and regulated companies that need to move workloads to the cloud or incorporate artificial intelligence without completely relinquishing operational, legal, and technical control of their systems. The recognition initially covers Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Atos keeps the validation process open to extend it to other locations, so the current scope is limited to these four markets. Within them, the company will be able to design, deploy, and operate sovereign cloud environments for organizations with SAP processes critical to their activity. The certification connects Atos' managed services and European infrastructure with SAP's strategy to expand its sovereign offering. The proposal is especially aimed at areas such as Public Administration and financial services, where data localization, access to infrastructure, and applicable jurisdiction condition technological modernization decisions.
