Assassin's Creed Black Flag is currently experiencing a gigantic surge at Ubisoft. In the first few days, the game already recorded two million sales. After just one week, this number climbed to three million. Now Ubisoft has followed up again: The remake has now sold an impressive 3.5 million copies. According to the publisher's latest financial report, the title has thus "already exceeded annual expectations within the first 14 days". However, the rest of the financial report reads significantly less favorably for the struggling company. Net bookings in the first quarter reached 256 million Euro. This represents a 9 percent decrease compared to the previous year. At least the figures were slightly above their own forecasts. Interestingly, Ubisoft owes this small bright spot primarily to a "record performance from Invincible: Guarding the Globe". The idle squad RPG in the Invincible universe tells a completely new story that functions entirely independently of the comics or the Amazon series. "The rest of our portfolio, including Rainbow Six Siege, delivered the expected performance," explains Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot.
