It is expected to be opened before the end of this year.\n\nWawa first expanded to Kentucky in July of 2025 and has now opened eight stores statewide.\n\nThe company said it plans to build and open between 4 and 8 stories per year in Kentucky over the next 5-8 years resulting in more than 40 stores in the state.\n\nThe expansions will create job opportunities across the state. Wawa associates also own 39% of the company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).",
