Yates takes on her new role at 3M after more than 13 years at the company, serving in a series of senior positions, including most recently as Senior Director of Global Sustainability, with responsibilities including supporting the development of 3M's sustainability strategy, the validation of the company's SBTi near-term emissions targets, its roadmap to meet its emissions reduction targets, and supporting water and plastics target updates, in addition to corporate and policymaker engagement, as well as helping align business operations and new product development processes to corporate targets and expectations for lower impact products.
