A change in insurance companies meant I had to switch to Dexcom G7. I hate it. It’s big. The applicator is cumbersome and there is an included over patch that’s necessary but I can’t see well enough to get it centered so it’s not stuck to the unit itself. Finally, the app seems primitive. You don’t miss what you’ve got until it’s gone.

  • “What insurance do you have? We have to switch insurance next month due to my husband’s new job and I’m scared that I’ll have to give up my Libre 3+ sensor due to insurance not covering it any longer. We’ll find out when the new insurance kicks in what’s covered. Good luck!”

  • “Well my daughter has had G7 almost since its introduction while I am stuck with Libre, and I am SO envious. The G7 is superior in almost any way - more accurate, more reliable algorithm, doesn’t throw a sensor error every time the readings are rising or falling rapidly, the app is comprehensive and informative and the alarms customizable, better connectivity, direct to watch capability, never had”

  • “Based on OP u/JoeyRetroRockets good post on interesting subject and comparisons, we often do not realize what we have of good things until they suddenly one day maybe are gone. Maybe less evident for folks that have not been on the various BG sensors in the market for longer periods of their lives, so here compiling a list of some of the biggies, in differences between the Libre and Dexcom sensors”
