I’m in final interviews with a presentation in a few weeks. I found everything up to this point including my interview with the hiring manager to be very positive but I know things often seem great until you’re in the job. Hiring manager said the metric is @ 25 appointments per month with mostly local (driving) travel with air travel 3-4x per month. Territory is not too big. Does this seem normal low or high? I’m being very cautious at this point. Your insight is appreciated.

  • “20-30 per month is pretty standard across all companies. So 25 is right on the money if you’re doing things right”

  • “What counts as an interaction? Face to face only? Do virtual meetings and conferences count? How are group interactions counted (is that one interaction or the # of ppl there?) I’d clarify that but otherwise seems pretty normal. For your own info, I’d look up how many conferences happen in your area. Look up state societies in addition to bigger conferences/national meetings.”
